Major Loss Adjuster, Surveyor & Engineer
Kevin began his career in construction, working on large commercial projects as a contracts manager and quantity surveyor. He joined the loss adjusting profession in 1989 as a Loss Adjuster and Surveyor, with Thomas Howell & Selfe based in Chelmsford.
He became Head of Project Management at McLarens and then Associate Director and Major Loss Adjuster at QuestGates, with secondment to lead catastrophe teams in the Caribbean, Europe and the UK.
Now he is a member of the Major and Complex Loss Team of Sedgwick working from our Ipswich and London offices. He handles high value and complex claims throughout East Anglia and London. He is also council member of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters and chairman of their Subsidence and Surveying Special Interest Group.
Head of Subsidence
Kevin is responsible for the overall service delivery and operational performance of Sedgwick’s UK subsidence division. He is a Chartered Building Surveyor, Chartered Insurance Practitioner and Chartered Loss Adjuster, and started his subsidence career with Ellis & Buckle in March 1997.
He has obtained significant technical and management experience over the last 21 years in his specialist field. He delivers seminars to clients, brokers and agents frequently and is a fluent presenter, helping to lead the development of knowledge and expertise within the subsidence market.
He is currently directing Sedgwick’s subsidence surge response, with 2018 proving to be the first subsidence surge event since 2006.
Technical Home Claims Controller
Colin is Technical Home Claims Controller at LV= and has been at the company for 10 years. During his time at LV= he has worked within the counter fraud and technical claim teams before taking the position of Technical Home Claims Controller, which he’s held for the last four years. He’s built up a wealth of experience in all areas of technical property claims, specialising in major and complex losses.
Head of Subsidence

As Head of Subsidence, Sne manages one of the largest dedicated subsidence teams in the UK. His background of building surveying consultancy coming from private practice. Having worked within the subsidence industry for 25 years, he has experience of large and major complex losses including sink/crown holes, landslips, tunnel subsidence as well as the common domestic subsidence claims. He was instrumental in redesigning subsidence processes to deliver more slick effective solutions and services. As well as introducing innovative methods and techniques using soils modeling techniques, state of the art monitoring and soil intervention techniques, Sne manages award winning training, technology and partnership work. An external examiner and moderator for Sheffield University on their College of Estate Management panel, he is also an RICS Assessor.
Head of Corporate Affairs
Sophie is Head of Corporate Affairs with responsibility for the management and strategy of public affairs, corporate responsibility and media relations activity for Zurich in the UK. With over twenty years commercial experience and a strong insurance background, she first joined the Zurich group in 1999 and has since held a number of senior roles with Zurich UK specialising in the areas of government policy, political & regulatory developments and corporate responsibility.
She is a strong supporter of Zurich’s diversity and inclusion networks and a founding member and sponsor of Zurich's UK Women's Innovation Network and a member of the Insurance Supper Club. Sophie is also an Associate of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability, member of the ClimateWise Managing Committee and a member of the Zurich Community Trust Executive.

Mark is an Insurance professional, with 36 years in the insurance and commercial sectors. He spent 30 years with Marsh, including international posts in Germany & Taiwan and is Airmic Board Director and Chairman of Airmic Insurance Steering Group. He has been the Group Head of Insurance at Thomas Cook since 2013.
Chief Technical Officer

As Chief Technical Officer at MIB, in addition to being part of the MIB Executive Committee, Paul is responsible for technical issues throughout the MIB claims area, including strategic decisions on many of the highest value cases. Paul is Chairman of the MIB Technical Committee and the Employers’ Liability Tracing Office Dispute Resolution Panel.
A leading authority on the MIB Agreements, Article 75 and the Road Traffic Act. Paul led the work for MIB to create the 2015 Uninsured Drivers Agreement and the 2017 Untraced Drivers Agreement.
In regular contact with the Department for Transport, the ABI, the Council of Bureaux and insurers, Paul has been involved in many insurance industry initiatives and projects.
ACII qualified, a Chartered Insurer and with over 30 years of technical claims experience working previously in the general insurance industry, formerly employed by Eagle Star and Budget Insurance.
