He has appeared on television speaking about topics as diverse as the insurance implications of Michael Jackson's death to the consequences of consolidation on motor premiums; and is a past winner of the British Insurance Brokers' Association journalist of the year and Association of British Insurers general insurance trade journalist prizes.
Jonathan has chaired/ hosted over 100 insurance events from roundtables involving a small specially invited audience, to addressing over 2000 people at the British Insurance Awards at the Royal Albert Hall. He is listed as a top 50 insurtech influencer by Insurtech News and presently coordinates the All Party Parliamentary Group for Insurance and Financial Services.

Martin joined the insurance industry in 1986 and has remained in the claims arena since then covering a variety of roles across most business classes including operational claims handling, project management, operational management and strategic planning.
Based in the Bolton Centre of Excellence, Martin is responsible for all aspects of Commercial Property and Motor Trade claims in the UK for AXA Insurance, including the operational delivery and cost control, together with the development and implementation of the strategic plans for the Property Supply Chain.
Martin is part of the ABI Property Working Group and has been involved in industry activity around issues and responses to Surge events, and more recently under insurance. He also sits on the CII Claims Faculty Board.
Martin is a regular contributor to the trade press on property claims articles and also presents at Claims clinics and Conferences on property and supply chain related issues.
Claims and Risk Services Director,
David has over 25 years' experience working in insurance claims having worked for CU, CGU and Aviva before joining Chubb as UK /Ireland Property Claims Manager. In 2006 he joined the Ecclesiastical group where he has responsibility for leading the Claims and Risk Services functions, setting strategy and philosophy in partnership with key stakeholders, with the aim of delivering unsurpassed levels of Customer Service and technical standards in support of Group business objectives.

Travis has the great privilege of being Global Head of Property & Casualty Claims at MS Amlin, allowing him to put into practice his passion for client service, whilst seeing his colleagues excel at what they do. Travis has over 15 years' experience in the insurance industry, having had various roles in Claims, Legal, and Risk. It is MS Amlin’s commitment to first class customer service that has resulted in being recognised for our award winning claims initiatives.
Outside of work Travis is a frustrated wannabe professional golfer, guitar player and carpenter.

Jon is Head of Claims for Towergate Insurance, leading the claims function with accountability for all aspects of claims strategy, customer service, technical control and compliance across a diverse product portfolio handled at multiple sites for the UK’s largest MGA.
Previous roles include UK Motor Claims Director and Head of UK Personal Lines Claims for Zurich General Insurance and Global Corporate, UK Property Claims Director Zurich, UK Property Claims Operations Manager , Claims Manager of Zurich Private Clients High Net Worth and Marine segments, Catastrophic Injury Claims Controller, Casualty Claims Inspector, Casualty and Motor Claims Team Manager.
In addition, Jon has led several strategic change initiatives delivering loss cost savings and business restructuring programs, resulting in multimillion pound benefits with an improved customer experience. Jon also has a passion for investing in people and this was behind his design and implementation of an award winning training academy for Zurich claims staff, which has also earned Chartered Insurance Institute accreditation.
Jon has previously worked with Mckinsey, and Ernst & Young on several programs and worked for Commercial Union, Gan life and Geotechnical Investigations Ltd in several claims technical and managerial roles.

Russell is the Managing Director of Direct Group Claims Solutions and in this role has responsibility for the claims function of Geo Underwriting.
He has 27 years' experience in the Insurance industry, having undertaken roles including, Technical Manager, Director of Operations and Director - Specialist services. In his current role he has diversified and transformed the Direct Group claims model, emphasising operational excellence, outstanding customer service through an enhanced customer journey, whilst controlling Indemnity spend.
ACII and Chartered Insurance Practitioner, Russell originally trained as a building surveyor and initially commenced his career in Insurance in loss adjusting.
Group Head of Claims
Steve has overall responsibility for all group claims activity. Focused on strategic development, Steve believes in partnering cutting edge claims solutions and technology with skilled personnel, to deliver market-leading results. With extensive experience in the claims field, Steve has previously held senior positions within MT Motor Policies, Holdsure, Link Insurance and GHL Insurance Services.
UK Motor and Injury Claims Director
Ian Currie is RSA's UK Motor & Injury Claims Director. Based in London, he has worked at RSA since 1990 and held a number of different roles across the business within finance, engineering, motability and claims. A Chartered Accountant, Ian is also a Board member for the Motor Insurance Bureau.
Claims Technical Director
Mike East joined QBE in April 2015 as Claims Technical Director. Mike is responsible for Large Loss and Major Bodily Injury Claims across Retail and International Markets, including the management of claims arising from mainland Europe, Dubai and Canadian operations. He also has responsibility for technical claims governance, counter-fraud activities and managing QBE's outsourced claims services, including Third Party Administrators.
Mike, who has over 20 years' experience in the insurance claims environment, joined QBE from Canopius where he was Head of Claims since 2006. He is a member of the LMA Claims Committee and recently stepped down as the chair after a 3 year term. He has had positions on the LMA Board as well as the Claims Implementation Board which was responsible for delivering the Claims Transformation Programme. More recently, Mike is participating on the claims workstream for the London Market Target Operating Model. He has a proven track record of managing high value and complex claims, as well as implementing successful claims and change strategies.
Adrian was appointed Claims Director in October 2012 and has responsibility for all aspects of service delivery and claims management. Prior to the formation of Covéa Insurance, Adrian was Operations Director for Provident Insurance, a position he had held since January 2008. Adrian joined Provident in June 1995 and undertook a variety of claims and customer service management roles. Adrian was appointed Head of Operations in 2004 and subsequently promoted to Claims Operations Director in 2008, with responsibility for all aspects of Claims Management and for Customer Service and Credit Control.
Adrian has worked in the insurance industry for over 25 years, having previously worked in a variety of claims management roles for both AGF and Endsleigh. Adrian has a History and Politics degree from Manchester University and an MBA from Bradford University
Chief Claims Officer
Graham Hughes is Chief Claims Officer of esure. He joined the business in 2015 and is responsible for all claims operations in the group. Graham joined esure from RSA where he was Commercial Claims Director for four years. In this role he was responsible for leadership of the commercial claims area and for circa £1.9bn claims and a team of 300. Prior to joining RSA, Graham was Head of Claims at Allianz responsible for all claims operations and management of circa 600 staff.
Head of Injury Claims
Ian Kershaw is Head of Injury Claims at Co-op Insurance, responsible for strategic and operational performance of all injury and fraud claims. He has over 16 years of experience in insurance litigation.
Prior to joining Co-op Insurance in January 2016, Ian was a Partner at Parabis Law LLP where he held a senior management position within the insurance department, dealing primarily with large volume contracts for insurer clients. During his time Ian led several departmental transformations for both the claimant and defendant divisions within the firm, giving him a unique insight into all areas of insurance claims.
Senior Claims Manager
Amanda is an experienced claims manager and a qualified solicitor having worked in the insurance divisions of London law firms Herbert Smith and Eversheds, before leaving private practice. Amanda has handled complex claims for global insurers in a number of international jurisdictions across several classes of business and has over 17 years’ experience in the industry. She joined SCOR's Business Solutions Claims Team in June 2014, focusing on Casualty and Construction claims worldwide.

Aspen Risk Management
Sue has worked for Aspen Risk Management since November 2010. She was recruited to set up and manage the claims operation which now has centres in Croydon and Manchester. The claims team have won awards for their work with policyholders following the Jackson Reforms. Prior to this, Sue was a founding director of Hawes McCall & Associates Ltd. Her earlier roles include head of group claims operations at Novae and head of London market claims at Independent Insurance.
Sue has over 30 years experience in change management, operational management and technical claims handling, spanning most classes. She has an advanced diploma in insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a chartered insurer and member of the CII claims faculty board.
Head of Claims Technical Hub
Direct Line Group
Jacqui leads Direct Line Group's Claims Technical Hub team, providing cross class technical best practice development and oversight for the business.
With 25 years experience in commercial and personal lines claims both in the UK and internationally, Jacqui has extensive knowledge of sector issues and the challenges insurers have faced, from changing operating models to Bodily Injury.
Jacqui joined the industry with Commercial Union and has also worked with CGU, Aviva and RSA in a number of Claims operational, technical and strategic business change roles.
Martin has over 20 years experience in general insurance in various operational and technical roles, predominantly within Churchill Insurance. During that time he got involved in a variety of issues including being heavily involved in the creation of the Credit Hire GTA.
In 2003 he became claims fraud manager for RBS insurance and was involved in the formation of the Insurance Fraud Bureau.
In 2006 he joined LV= and is now claims director, managing personal and commercial lines claims across a range of LV= brands.
Martin is married with three children and is a keen Leeds United supporter.
Head of Claims Technical Excellence & Development
Karls career in the Insurance business spans over 25 years doing a variety of technical,external and managerial Claims roles attaining ACII, Chartered Insurer status along the way.
He took responsibility for the strategic leadership and technical integrity of Large Claims management within Groupama in April 2010.
In May 2013, he was delighted to take the role of Head of Claims Technical Excellence & Development at Ageas Insurance, with specific responsibility for

Karl contributes to market issues through membership of ABI PI Panel, CII Claims Advisory Board, ISCIF (Insurers Serious & Catastrophic Injury Forum) and ABI Property Claims Forum and has responded to the key Government Consultations of recent years.
Head of facilitated claims unit
John Pyall has a M.B.A. and a Post Graduate degree in Business Administration. He has worked twenty-five years for Munich Reinsurance. Originally in the legal section of their Claims Department in London has now returned there to be responsible for claims arising from their Great Lakes Facilitated operation, in the meantime he spent five years as Regional Head of Claims and Underwriting Services in their Singapore Office, then head office in Munich as coordinator of their international claims departments in Asia Pacific And Africa and on to Hong Kong, heading up the regional claims unit as well as continuing his role as the Claims Co-ordinator for their International Organisation.
Among other articles, he has been author and technical editor of the Chartered Insurance Institute book on Reinsurance and author of the Claims section of the Chartered Insurance Institute book on Practice of Reinsurance. He is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and a qualified mediator. He has lectured for the Chartered Insurance Institute, Singapore College of Insurance, Asia Insurance Review, London Guildhall University and for a number of other clients and societies on different aspects of, insurance claims, wordings and reinsurance.
Head of claims, technical
Lee Watts joined Allianz as head of casualty claims in November 2015. Lee has over 25 years of insurance industry experience, having also worked at Commercial Union, AIG and QBE, where most recently he held the position of claims investigation services manager.
Lee is responsible for leading the development and implementation of technical claims strategy and best practice across all casualty & disease claims along with oversight of claims fraud across all lines of business.
Lee represents Allianz in market initiatives and contributes to industry discussion and press articles. Lee is a Director of Claims Portal Ltd and a member of the Insurance Fraud Taskforce Legacy group.
Director of Technical Claims
Andrew has worked in General Insurance Claims for over 20 years and is currently Director of Technical Claims having responsibility for Aviva’s high value and complex loss claims teams. He also leads Aviva internally on implementation and oversight of reform activity. His main focuses are balancing customer service, indemnity spend and assessing the legal and market environment in which Aviva claims operate.
For several years Andrew has been heavily involved in the Aviva’s external engagement covering a variety of insurance issues to Government level, including whiplash, medical evidence and Motor Reform.
Andrew, a Law Graduate, has worked for Aviva since 1997 holding a variety of positions including Claims Manager for Scotland and also worked on secondment for 6 months in Bangalore in India setting up Aviva’s bodily injury handling unit there. He has responsibility for setting Aviva’s internal claims philosophies and standards and manages the teams which handle Aviva’s most complex claims.
