Anthony Gould is group editor in chief of Incisive Media's Insurance Division. He has overall editorial responsibility for Post Magazine, Insurance Age, Professional Broking, Cover and Reinsurance Magazine both in print and offline, and plays a leading role in developing brand extensions for the group, from events and awards programmes to rich media productions.

Kent Chaplin
head of claims, Lloyd’s
Kent joined Lloyd’s in October 2004 as head of claims. Previously he practised as an insurance solicitor for Herbert Smith before his appointment as claims director for Aon’s Professional Risks division. Kent qualified with honours as a barrister and solicitor in New Zealand, specialising in insurance and commercial litigation, and relocated to the UK in 1996.

Lynn Day
director, GI Claims
Lynn is Director of GI Claims at the Co-operative Insurance where she has responsibility for all aspects of claims including strategy, technical and operations. She has spent most of her career in claims at the organisations' Leeds, London and Manchester offices but has also completed an MBA and spent several years leading large change programmes across all parts of the business.

Tony Emms
motor claims director, Zurich Financial Services
Tony joined Zurich as claims supply chain director in September 2003. In October 2005, Tony was promoted to his current position of motor claims director reporting to the UKGI chief claims officer. His current role has responsibility for the management of 300,000 UK General Insurance motor claims per annum in 9 sites across the UK and India.

Nick Gunter

Nick began his career at the General Accident before moving to Northern Star which in 2000, together with Bishopsgate, became Fortis Insurance. Nick has spent all his time in general insurance claims and is best known for his handling of the aftermath of the Selby rail disaster in 2001. He also sits on a number of ABI and other industry committees.

Roy Hebburn
acting director, Claims, Allianz Cornhill
Roy Hebburn, who is an FCII and chartered insurer, currently heads up Allianz's claims division which has responsibility for all commercial and retail claims and associated activity. A seasoned insurance professional, he has been continually employed by the group in claims since leaving full time education in September 1967.

John Kenny
group claims manager, NFU Mutual
John is chief claims manager at NFU Mutual with overall responsibility for all aspects of claims. He is responsible for claims strategy, reserving, customer service and technical standards. John is a member of the ABI High Level Group and Property Committee.

David Frost
(Interim) UK claims technical director
As (Interim) UK Claims Technical Director at RSA, David controls claims spend, management philosophies and strategies for all classes of business as well as overseeing specialist claims units. As well as the technical areas within Claims, David’s diverse role also includes responsibility for Counter Fraud. David reports directly to Neil Lightbown, UK Underwriting and Strategic Claims Director. David joined the Sun Alliance Insurance Group in 1989, bringing with him broad experience drawn from his time at Norwich Union and Norwich Winterthur Insurance (Dubai). During his time as Motor Technical Manager, he has had considerable experience of managing change, frontline operations and Legal Services. During the course of his career, David has been active in the market, working closely with ABI, MIB, and other market bodies.

Andrew McBride

Andrew has 20 years insurance experience, principally focused on claims. He began his insurance career with Guardian Royal Exchange, continuing with AXA in a number of senior claims roles until he left to join Aon in 2002. He joined QBE in 2005 and is claims director of QBE European Operations.

Julian Millar
head of specialist claims operations, RBS Insurance
Julian has over 20 years insurance experience, principally in the claims arena. He has been at RBS Insurance for over 6 years and currently heads up a 900 strong team handling the Group's motor personal injury claims, credit hire and their Large and Complex Loss area.. He has previously held a variety of senior property and HNW roles at companies such as Chubb and Hiscox.

David Williams

David has over 20 Years experience in General Insurance, roles including chief commercial underwriter, reinsurance manager, casualty insurance manager, and now claims director. David is a member of the National Stakeholder Council for the Governments "Workplace Health Connect" initiative, a board member of the CII / CILA Faculty of Claims, and was a director of Thatcham for 4 years. He is also a member of the AXA Group Claims Board.
